Oil and gas companies and employees aren’t the only ones affected by downsizing and layoffs during the commodity price downturn.
Some of the 22 recruiters that took part in the 4th annual business job fair at Lakeland College in Lloydminster on March 4 spoke saying it’s not business as usual for them either. They are seeing an increase in pipeline equipment operator applications.
As they try and plan for the effects of the recession we will see more and more applications sent in and rejected, but if more wells get shut in during the oil and gas downturn we could see an exponential increase in the rejection of Pipeline applications.
